A cozy and warm comfort food, Filipino Lomi is based off chicken noodle soup. But instead of a thin soup, Lomi is a much thicker soup. Chicken broth is mixed with vegetables like cabbage, carrots, onions, which is seasoned generously for added flavors. Chicken, beef, and fish balls are usually added in for additional filling protein. Miki or egg noodles are then added into the soup with egg and then thickened with flour/corn starch for a delicious and savory soup. It’s a warm hug on a cold winter day or a delicious meal to have when you’re sick. And even better on a rainy cold day when you want to just snuggle up with a blanket and watch TV all day.
